Fear advertisements are a great tactic to use in an election campaign. For the most part they are a little embellished and not completely true, they're just made up to bash the opponent and get the audiences vote. I think they really work because they reach out to the viewer and what is important to the viewer, if the candidate can do that against the opponent, the viewer will immediately start thinking to vote for that candidate that will protect them. It is definitely a mean and low way of getting votes but it absolutely works. Although they are dirty, it is important for the public to know the truth about the opponent, of course nothing can be taken on a silver plate, if a person is serious about a candidate they should research it themselves. Lucky for the candidates, many people are too lazy to research the truth about the opponent and they believe what they are told by the television.
