Viagra puts the "sin" in "Sin City"

We all know what Viagra is, so I'm not going to explain that. This commercial then takes the popular song "Viva Las Vegas" and changes it to “Viva Viagra.” What is Las Vegas? Vegas is “sex, drugs, and alcohol”, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”, Vegas is a party. The message this commercial is trying to get out to you the consumer, by invoking this image of Vegas, is that when you pop one of these little blue pills it is like a party for two.
In contrast to this, Viagra covers all its bases and plays a Barry White song for all those who haven’t experienced the lure of the Vegas strip.

Nike Music

In this Nike ad, Norman Greenbaum’s "Spirit in the Sky" is the promotional song. This ad shows famous football personalities playing the roles of high school jocks. There is one boy, Ryan, who is not a famous personality, but he is the most “popular” in school because he wears his Nike Sneakers while he plays football. The entire commercial is meant to convey this idea that if you wear Nike apparal you are taken to this amazing higher place. You are surrounded by athletes and sports heroes. He’s not just among them, but you are the star and they are all looking to you. Then this song comes on, with a cool beat and the words that lift you to a “Spirit in the Sky”, which is what Nike does to you.

Summary: "The Early Word: The Cost of Going Negative"

In the 2008 Presidential Election, Senator John McCain has been using negative campaigning against his opponent. Although McCain was hoping for a positive result from his advertisements, polls say that if the election was now, Obama would win by 14%. Meanwhile, Obama's focus in his campaigning has been about political issues such as: racial identity, the tough economic times that the U.S. is facing. Neither candidates really address the issue of race, however they differ on how they would fix the economic problem. McCain says he wants to "clean up the mess of corruption, infighting and selfishness in Washington,” and he would do this by making tax cuts on capital gains and withdrawels from the people 59 and older, with bigger write offs for stock loss and a tax waiver for unemployment benefits. Obama on the other hand, says he wants to make tax cuts for the middle class and low -wage workers, while increasing spending for public works to create more jobs. Through this he says he will be offering his “steady hand of leadership."

John McCain for President

The song used in this election ad sounds as if John McCain will take America "one giant leap for mankind". The song sounds like a cross between the national anthem and “Chariots of Fire”. This film was about of group of British athletes training for and competing in the 1924 Summer Olympics. It gives the viewer the feeling that John McCain will really make a change and will bring America towards the right direction. It conveys a feeling that whatever he says in his campaign will be done. The song impresses on the voter that everything will be secure with him in charge. He is a fighter and winner, and will rise up against adversity.
